My first involvement in communications was while I was in the military back in 2017. I saw an opportunity to head our media department as a public affairs representative in all my assigned duty stations. I learned to use my background in photo & videography to aid in military public affairs.

In each of my units, I promoted high-profile events such as military competitions and specialized training sessions. I wrote news stories on these events as well as promotions and ceremonies. My posts were able to bring transparency of military activities to families and friends as well as other military servicemembers to participate in each event.
